Changing lifestyle for my health & bubbys . Lock Rss

I have GD
Last wk put on strict diet ( happy to do it ) (NOT ALLOWED ANY TAKE AWAY AT ALL ) I eat it that much anyway. So no dramas there.

Yesterday seen leading special ist from Sydney for my condition& now I have take blood sugar levels reading 4times a day.gentle exercise for 30 minutes a day walking.

Today I need to GD representative

I have to get all three contact details to each other so they all can work together to treat my condition.

I have to email my specialist once. Wk given him my diet food diary & blood sugar levels .
see him monthly.

I had GD while pregnant with my 15 month old .I stuck to my diet we both was fine. Except I wish he wasn't born so small ( had to wear 0000) 5 pound 14 ounces.

Happy do all the above to keep myself &bubby healthly

Who esle has GD & how do live with your treatment etc? ????????
I haven't had GD but sounds like it's more a matter of eating healthily and making sure you get some exercise every day. You never know you might feel fitter for it and keep it up even after bubs is born. Good luck Jude!
gd will always be there throughout the pregnancy right. You just treat the symptoms. Your levels must be very high jude to get three specialist.
thats no good.
i think my mum had gd she had me in 84 but back then you had a blood test to say you were pregnent then you would just rock up and give birth.
i know i did have jaundice. Mum said she didnt get know she had it for years. She felt tired and thirsty and found it hard to lose weight.
and some doctors would just say its because you have three kids thats why your tired. until one doctor did do a blood test years later and found out she has diabettes. I reakon she had gd.
mum didnt even know what diabettes was.

hope its only a pregnancy thing for you jude and not a life thing.
goodluck for you and bubby

I made appointment for dieticians & GD representative myself. Before specialist appointment was made.
Doctor only recommended to see specialist so I did.

GD is when hormones wont break down glucose / sugar levels .

I do eat health so many fruit & veggies
Drink plenty of water.

Diet. Is. Make sure I'm getting enough. Of everything. For both me & baby.
That's safe for GD.

Yes taken all this into. Account might. Make me feel. Better.
