How do I introduce full cream milk to my 1 year old Lock Rss

Hi

I'm after some advice with introducing full cream milk to my 1 year old.... I add milk and butter into his mash potatoes and he eats them but I'm wondering if I should introduce him drinking normal milk during the day...

Any advice would be helpful

Thanks

When we introduced full dream milk to our then 8 month old we started with half full cream milk, half water and slowly over a few weeks reduced the amount of water so her system got used to digesting it. This was the method my mother and mother in-law used for my husband and I and it worked great for our little one too.

Ok thank you for that I might try that with him

i just started off with substituting one formula bottle for cows milk, and slowly increased it from there. But my son had no issues taking it smile
Ok thanks that's another idea that I could do with my son too

My son was breastfed to 2 years, but from 11 months or so had full cream cows milk in mash, custard, rice pudding, porridge etc and then just giving him drinks of straight milk in bottle or sippy cup. Because he was breastfed he wasn't much interested in the drinks of milk and would only have small amounts, but he certainly did not dislike them or have any adverse reaction.
I just introduced cow milk in the solids like mash etc. Then increased it in other foods like started to have cows milk for breakfast in cereal with a cup of milk. By the time my kids were one they were really only having one bottle in the morning and one at night. So at the same time I got rid of the bottles and they had milk in a sippy cup morning and night.
