Left handed, will she change? Lock Rss

Hi all'
Aimee is nearly 3 and I'm pretty sure she is going to be left handed, she eats, draws and does most things with her left hand, her dad and i are both right handed and there is noone that we know of in both of our families who is left handed.

Can you tell at this age or can she change later on when she starts writing properly.

It doesnt really worry me either way but I'm just curious.

Thanks

Hi Mummyto1,
I thought your post was interesting, as I'd never really thought about how a child becomes left or right handed. At 19 months my son uses both hands; one night he'll feed himself with the right, next night it might be the left - same with drawing etc. Like you it doesn't phase me in the least.... but you sparked my curiosity too!! smile

I found this website which was quite informative ..

Hope you find it interesting as well! All the best,
Sue
