corn on the cob Lock Rss

Does anyone else give there 11 mth old corn on the cob? My man doesn't have any teeth yet however he loves it. Also what else can I give him when he has no teeth, as biting is out?

I have been giving Maya the cobs to chew on after I have eaten the corn since she was about 8 mths, and now she is 16 mth sand eats the corn off the cob.
Bread and butter/marmite etc. is good for no teeth, as they can chew it with their gums. Also meat that has been boiled and then mashed eg. mince. Mash it with some veges, potato, kumara etc. At 11 mths he might like to try feeding himself this with a spoon (and some help from mum!)

My daughter used to love lamb bones (short loin chops), and still does. Cook them as normal and cut most of the meat off. They get the juice from the meat and usually some meat too. This is also great when they start teething.

Now my daughter loves to dip the bne into her mash potato.
Another idea is some grated cheese to start with, then you could try the sticks or slices! Both my kids always loved cheese as babies, and still do now!
