Is Jam allowed Lock Rss

Hi,
I was just wondering whether i can give my daughter who is 13 months jam.

Of course you can!

I give Haley jam on her toast in the morning with PButter.

I would however suggest that you give her one with low sugar and no bits, pips or lumps.

Good luck and happy jamming!

Cheers!

You most certainly can give her jam. If you plan to make it a regular event, perhaps choose a diet or low sugar version or a fruit spread with minimal sugar.

If she is a great eater like my DD who was eating chunky food very early, any of these varieties will be ok, just brush her teeth well afterwards!

Yeah I do jam! Vegemite must get boring and I haven't ventured into the peanut paste yet.

Jam is very very messy though grin

Hi
As well as jam, Riley gets promite, lemon butter, cream cheese spread, honey, etc - but I haven't given him peanut butter yet, even tho he's had things with nuts in them I just haven't got around to it yet. Are you sposed to wait til 3yrs with nuts? I can't remember..

I never heard about the 2 yrs old thing for peanut butter, Haley has had it almost every day for breakfast and she is fine...
