does anyone have the recipe for caramel slice Lock Rss

Seeing if anyone has the recipe for caramel slice as my husband has asked him to make it for him.

1/4cup plain flour, 1/4 cup self raising flour, 1/2 cup dessicated coconut, 1/4 cup soft brown sugar, 50gms butter. FILLING: 60gms butter, 4tbs golden syrup, 2x 400g cans condensed milk TOPPING: 125gms dark chocolate, chopped 30gms butter

Preheat oven to 180 c Line base and sides of shallow 28x18cm tin with aluminium foil

Sift flours, add coconut, and make a well in centre, combine sugar and butter in small pan and stir until melted and sugar has dissolved.

Add butter to flours and stir till combined, press over base of prepared tin using back of fork. bake for 10 mins leave to cool

Filling: combine butter, syrup and condensed milk in pan stir constantly low heat for 10 mins until boils and lightly browns. pour over base and bake for 20mins. cool completely

Topping: combine choc and butter in bowl over simmering water until melted spread over caramel filling and leave to set! Enjoy

the recipe for caramel slice is (base)
1cup(150g)self raising flour
1 cup(90g) dessicated coconut
1 cup(200g) firmly packed brown sugar
125g melted butter
( caramel filling)
400g can of sweetened condensed milk
30g butter
2tablespoons golden syrup
(chocolate topping)
125g dark chocolate chopped
30g butter

grease 20cm x 30 cm lamington pan.Combine sifted flour,coconut,and sugar in bowl,add butter and stir until combined.
Press mixture over base of prepared tin .Bake in a moderate oven 15 minutes or until browned lightly. Pour hot caramel filling over hot base,return to oven for about 8 minutes;cool.
spread warm chocolate toppping over caramel filling,stand at room temperature until set.
(caramel filling)
Combine all ingrediants in pan, stir over low heat until just combined.
(chocolate topping)
combine chocolate and butter in pan,stir over low heat until smooth(when i do this i put the choc mix in a small saucepan and put it in a larger saucepan of hot water over low heat)
not suitable to freeze choc topping can be microwaved. Hope this helps you out. from Nature
