Board Games for Kids Lock Rss

Hi everyone

As Christmas is looming, I generally get asked by relatives what the boys want for Christmas. I believe that they have more toys then they need, so this year I'm considering board games and would like to get some reveiws from people on what are the good ones on the market for kids.

I'm looking at games that can be played with by an under 5yr old and even though some games on the box say 6yrs, many younger kids can manage them, so tell me your reveiws of board games that your kids love.

We already have a toddler "Guess Who" and it is great, We also have a "Rummy" for kids that I would not recommend unless your child can count on their own.

Thanks for any ideas

What a good post mamajj! I've been thinking the same thing myself the last few days.

DS is not one for window shopping (who can blame him?!). So I tend to browse on-line for ideas, otherwise I get really frustrated as well!

Here are a couple of my favourites (Favourites because they also sometimes have buyer reviews on them as well):

I can think of a few like Operations (now have a Shrek version!) and Mouse Trap.

Looking forward to reading others ideas as well!
Sue.

Hi Jo,

I used to buy board games for my older kids when they were young it's great, how about some old favorites like draughts/checkers, snakes and ladders, trouble etc, I also bought a lot of the junior games which were fun like monopoly. And card games were great there are so many and they learn so much from them as well.
