Mothers Group Ideas Lock Rss

Hi Everyone,

Our mothers group has just started and we are sort of stuck for ideas on things to do....We all have babies under 7 months old. Any suggestions?

I have been with my Mother's group since our first child was 6 weeks old (now she is nearly 5), when all the bubs were under 1 yrs old we usually just went to each others homes and had all the bubs on the floor playing as there wasn't much they could do or enjoy in outings at that young age, but some times on the nice days we would go to a local park and have a little picnic with them all on a picnic rug then pop them in their prams and take them all for a nice walk. We still meet up at each others home (most of us have 2-3 children now) so we take turns each fortnight and then rotate it with outings at parks and a local playcentre.

Hi April
Now that it is beginning to warm up (well it is here anyway!!) the pool is a great place to go also. Ours has it's own BBQ cooking facilities which is great. Other than that we just go to each others houses or to the park and occasionally out to lunch somewhere. We have a few towns close by, so we sometimes go to one of these where there is a nice park next to the beach. We have found though that as they have got older ( all between 17 and 14 months) and started to walk it is easier at someones house where you don't have to worry about where they are running off to. We have now just started taking them to Gymbaroo also which is great fun!

My mothers group just ended so we have been meeting up at the kindergaten for play group ( its just like mothers group!).
*We also go to the mums & bubs movies.
*Check your local public library for nursery rhymes classes. Some of us go there, its good bonding with the babies and you may also make some more friends. We sing songs and play games. We see each other 3 times a week which is good, its good to get out of the house.
how about getting someone to teach baby massage the clinic should know of someone or someone to show the mums some quick & easy make up tips
