Insanity is Hereditary...It is cause by having kids!!!! Lock Rss

I am new to the forum and would love to hear from large family parents.. actually I enjoyed reading quite a few of the stories posted on here. I could really relate to Mumsy who replied to "tried of hearing so this is your 1st baby" People's faces really drop when you say you have four. I get them with the double whammy because my little ones are only 1 year and 6 days apart. (I dont recommend that trick!). People naturally assume that with 4 kids you have it down pat but I can tell you that that is not the case. I have a 13 year old Boy who is gifted. A 9 year old girl who loves makeup and clothes and has just started having moods...A 2 year old boy that for a while there we thought might be austistic because boy could he throw a wobbly and a 1 year old boy who is very sneaky and fast. They all have their own special needs and some days you just write it all off but then some days you have those special moments that make it all worth while. my husband and I are planning on having another one or two in a couple of years. So I have come to the conclusion that insanity is hereditary.. it is cause by having kids..
But I am happy to be nuts!
i hve 3 boys and would like to try 4 that elusive girl bu due to some health issues not sure if my doc would allow it how do u manage with 4? just the same as othres with less i guess the car needs to be updated i guess

mum of 3 boys aged 11, 13 and 14

3 boys under that is triple trouble. I have my youngest two being 2 boys under 2. we call them the double trouble. They work together to get into mischief. How do i manage with 4 kids...somedays you dont! at the end of the day you are exhausted and you feel like you have gotten nothing done. but you just wipe off those days and move onto the next. the sun will still rise in the morning if the washing isnt done.I actually found that 4 kids in easier than 2. I was surprised when the doctors told me i could have more if we wanted to. I dont have nice pregnancies. But i guess i was use to living in the bush and not having access to specialists. My husband and i would love to have 2 more girls (even the score up!) but we dont mind. so long as they are happy and healthy. If you go to get a bigger car you have to remember to have room for your kids, their gear, their mates and their mate's gear. My car seats 8 and sometimes it still isnt big enough. My latest hobby is trying to find cheap recipes to feed the tribe. (Not only cheap but simple to cook)
Hi Michelle,
Welcome to the forum. I have 3 kids. Almost 11 yo boy(who has ADD) 8 yo girl (who also loves make up) and a 10 1/2 month boy.

I have a friend who has 5 kids. Her first, was born on my firsts, 1st birthday. Her 2nd, was born 1 day before her firsts, 1st birthday. Number 3 was born 9 weeks early, meaning she then had 3 under 3. Number 4 was born at 27weeks gestation, and number 5 (born only 5 weeks early) is definitly the last one. (She made sure of that!) She now has 5 kids ranging in age from 9 1/2 years, down to 2 1/2 years. 3 girls, 2 boys. She has no time to herself and because of the large amount of time she spent looking after the children, her marriage has broken down.

She says she had a temperory burst of insanity (that lasted several years), and that is what caused her to have so many kids smile

In actual fact, she relied on the fact that you can't fall pregnant whilst breastfeeding and on the mini pill. can!

I had a sudden burst of insanity when deciding (after my youngest at the time was 6 1/2 years old), that I would like to have another one. When I found my sanity back, it was too late and I discovered I was pregnant again. But I wouldn't trade my little man for anything, and if insanity should ever come my way again........I will pray that I don't become sane again and see the mess I got myself into!! Take care,

Mother of 3, Qld
