1st Sleepover Lock Rss

Hi mums,

My almost 4 year old daughter is at her 1st sleepover tonite & i'm a little anxious. I know she will be fine, but that doesn't stop me thinking about her. She stays at her Grans all the time, but thats different, she's my mum.

Has anyone else had these feelings the first time they sent their little ones off for the night, or am i being a little bit silly????

Thans for listening.

Hi Michelle
i havent experienced feelings like that as my daughter is 9mths.
but i just wanted to let you know i dont think you are being silly at all. its a completly natural feeling for a loving mum to have.
its only the first time out of many many more times like this to come.

Hi Michelle,

I'm happy to say I think you are completely normal. I was so anxious I didn't let my first child have a sleepover until they were 7. And then it was only because I knew the family so well. I've relaxed a lot since then but I still get a bit worried when they have sleepovers.

They are our babies - aren't we supposed to worry about them for the rest of our lives? The word for it is Love not silly!
