What do you do Lock Rss

when you just have one of those [email protected] days where everything goes wrong.. unno the ones where the kids have gotten into anything and everything they shouldn't have or your at your wits end...
Is it that hidden stash of timtams hidden under all the vegies in the crisper or a stiff drink or maybe going for a walk around the block.

What do you do to recharge yourself for 5mins so you can cope again... just curious??

it's quite sad really but i defuzz lol meaning shave legs, underarms, eyebrows, paint nails...

or i do angel card reading that always make me feel good on the inside!

lol..hes learnt how to turn the taps on recently too... was layin in the bath with the shower on and all of a sudden the cold water just blasted on sad ... they learn way too fast
I wait till nap time then make myself a cuppa and read a book or watch some supernatural.

Wow, I just realised there is nothing I do to have 'me' time. To cool off, have 5 mins time out or make the mood improve when its bad.... hmmm not good. I think once the kids are all in bed I just breathe a sigh of relief & say thank god that days over with. lol

I'm the same. There's nothing. I could sit down with a cuppa but i'd be needed somewhere, someone would ask me stuff, want me to do something and by the time I got back to my cuppa i'd have been trying to drink the thing for 20mins and it's cold.

I don't have anything I do to stop me from losing it. So I lose it sad

Have any of you tried telling your kids that you're going to your room and will be closing the door for a few minutes, because you need some time out? It will give you some space to breathe, and help to model good stress/anger management to them also.

I close my eyes and take as many deep breathes that I can whilst blocking out the screaming. D2 is going through a rough patch with LOTS of screaming, tanties and all the rest.
I wait til they are in bed then usually go online/watch tv shows I have missed/play ps3 or wii/read a book to unwind.

I'll have a HOT shower, or read a trashy mag, or get online, or watch recorded shows on TV. If I'm motivated & previously organised, I'll do some scrapbooking. Obviously these things vary to whatever mood I'm in & I don't get to do them every day. Sometimes I'm like a PP & just breath a sigh of relief when bedtime comes & the day is over!!
