Inspirer Me Dinner Thread Lock Rss

because I have no freaken idea!

Not sure what's for dinner tonight as I'm going to the in-laws, but last night I made pasta (the 3 coloured one - forget it's name) with left over chicken thighs (that had been marinated), mushrooms, capsicum, olives and a tin of diced tomatoes...twas delicious!!

Good luck trying to think of something!
I'm either doing Spag bog or a stir fry. Got heaps of discounted vegies at the local supermarket (we call it a glorified milkbar!), and picked up a jar of marinade. It'll be one or the other... might use fetticine again instead of hokkien noodles (made stir fry once and realised I had no noodles, so I just cooked up pasta and chucked that in there. Went down great!)

Yeah... I'm not really much help am I?!!!
We are having one of those new Coles Grill Chickens. I am going to roast it with roast veggies etc. Kids love it and only takes about an hour.

I'm thinking I'll do a tuna pasta bake.

This thread is making me hungry!!

Dont you hate days when you cant get inspired. They're usually takeaway or scrambled eggs days in this house LOL

DH flies home from work tonight so we grab takeaway on the way home from the airport... He usually chooses reddies hahah
Butter Chicken with rice here... and DS will probably have tinned spaghetti or baked beans because he is a horror at trying new things <img src='<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' />

Salmon Cakes & salad. (Quick, easy & healthy!) Calling them cakes instead of rissoles or patties adds that hint of naughtiness. lol.

Lasagne w/ a Garden Salad here, we had a very busy weekend & I've started packing today for our move, so I'm keeping it simple tonight smile

Lamb chops and veg for me and DD and pork chop for DF! Might even be energized enough to make pudding............depends on the weather......If we get another huge storm like last night it will be great!!
Tonight we are having pork fried rice with left over roast pork.

Other ideas that feature regularly on our menu are meatloaf wrapped in puff pastry, spinach and ricotta cannelloni, steak sandwiches with minute steaks (for the I can't be bothered nights).

Or my fav chicken wings as per recipe below.

1kg chicken wings (I like mid wings).
6 tabs soy sauce
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp dry mustard
3 tabs oil
4 tabs lemon juice

put wings in a large snap lock bag. Mix other ingredients then pour onto wings. Marinade for at least 2hrs (I do it night before). Place single layer wings in baking dish, pour in extra marinade. Bake for 40-50mins at 200C, turn occasionally. Serve with rice and steam veg.

Really easy and 2 year old loves it.
