Lol Dh and I were going to go to Fiji in Sept but can't because of uni, so were are talking about Bali early next year.

Heya, we went to Bali last year for our 1st anniversary/DDs 2nd bday!

Stayed at this awesome place called Villa Seminyak, had 2 bedrooms each with their own bathroom, outdoor kitchen, dining, lounge and best of all... our own private pool grin grin

The villas are really private and well hidden away from the main road, but only a 2min walk down to the shops or to get a taxi...

Had the best time there, looking forward to going back next year!!
I have been to Bali 3 times, the last time was for our honeymoon 6 years ago!

We stayed at a fancier hotel in Legian for our honeymoon and didn't like it - it was further to walk into town, the hotel restaurants are ridiculously expensive, and the hotel was too big by the time we walked from pool to room we were hot again!

The other two times I have stayed at the Bounty in Kuta, less stars but we were more comfortable, the rooms are close enough to the pool, there is still a swim-up bar (MOST important requirement lol), there are restaurants starting from next door that are really cheap, and the shops in town start across the road too.

The only advantage we saw of the bigger hotels were that they had a private peice of beach without any people hassling you to buy stuff or get a massage etc. But we are not really beach people anyway...

Googling this now. How private are the pools and villas? I'm a closet nudist and love swimming naked lol

Lol aside from the one time I saw a person in a tree cutting a coconut or something down it was extremely private, i cruised around naked after DD had gone off to bed for the night grin

The walls around the villa are massive so no neighbours or anything can peek in!
Just wanted to add, the web address for it is www.villaseminyak.net there's a few places of similar names... We stayed in the 2 bedroom deluxe pool villa smile

My parents stayed here earlier this year...much as I hate the thought of my parents cruising around in the nude, I was assured by my dad that they did and it was great. They loved the villas, and have gorgeous photos smile

Hahaha grin go the oldies cruising around nude!

It certainly was private, we will stay there again next time we go, DD absolutely loved the pool, we spent sooo much time swimming lol the only scary thing was the couple of times there were bats in the trees, oh and the geckos <img src='https://www.huggies.com.au/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' />
We went to bali for our honeymoon in 2009, we stayed at the bali niksoma boutique beach resort. It was beautiful, we still talk about it now lol. We had the presidential villa it has its own private pool too. Rooms get cleaned every morning while you are at breakfast and the breakfast is unbelievable.. yummo.. And every night while you are out for dinner they come in and pull your sheets back and leave a little sweet on the bedside grin and the staff are so nice. It would have to be the best place we have stayed ever.
Just replying so i can keep this. We are off to Bali for our honeymoon in November! YAY
