Kids Shoes Lock Rss

So this is an off shoot from another thread earlier about kids shoes. Chalys and a few others were talking about what to look for in kids shoes, which is all great but... I don't know where to find some good quality shoes for my little one who is 18 months old. I don't want to pay a fortune because she'll no doubt grow out of them quickly, but I'm happy to pay a little bit more if they are good quality shoes. Also because I'm in QLD I want some well fitting sandals as it's far too hot for sneakers. Any suggestions for either online or retail stores I can go to?

Look, if good label shoes mean good quality even if it means short "footspan"..I would go for the good quality!
You want what's best for your kids feet..right?

Yeah I'm happy to pay more if the shoes genuinely are better, that said I can't afford to spend $100 on a pair that might last 3 months. I would consider up to 50ish reasonable, but as I said in my OP, I just don't really know where to look for shoes in the smaller sizes. She's a size 4 at the moment

Lots of betts sandals are awesome for girls, I will usually get a pair of air flex for dd, but I do wait for a half price sale. If you're conscious of buying one pair a year then the sale always lines up well. I wouldn't want to pay full price as they're around $75 a pair... Eep

I like these, cute but OMG yes 70 is a lot on our budget. None seem to be available online, guess I'd have to check out a store and see if they can order them in. Maybe being post xmas they might be on sale

It would be worth it though, poor little thing gets sore feet in her current ones so I don't make her wear them often

Dumb question, but how fast do their feet grow at this age? Roughly?

Thanks I'll have a look. It's so hard to tell by looking at a picture though. Might go to betts where I can try them on her

I've got a brand new pair of air flex sandals size 4.5 that I'd send to you for nothing. DD only wore them a couple of times and they cost me $70! If you've got somewhere I can send them to I'd be happy to pass them on.

At that age my dd was going through sizes every six months. This year at age 5 is the first year she has been one size for an entire year .. She's a size 13, way Bigger than the other girls in her class - poor girl!

That's really kind of you, I wouldn't want you to send them for nothing. I only have my home address though

Once every 6 months isn't too bad though, as long as it coincides with the seasons tongue

It's no problem, it would make me happy to know they are being used. I understand not wanting to give your home address. Could I send them to a local post office for you to collect? Don't know what options are available
